Mr. Afanga is a Chemistry graduate from the University of Calabar with an M.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry from the same institution. In addition to his academic achievements, he has undertaken numerous professional training programs in the oil and gas and other industrial sectors. With over 30 years of extensive experience in the Mineral Resources sector, Mr. Afanga commenced his career at Pipeline and Product Marketing Company System 2B Mosimi depot and Area office, a subsidiary of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company. Later, he joined Sahara Bulk Storage, a subsidiary of Sahara Energy Group, and subsequently established Synergy Inspection Company Limited, where he currently serves as a director.
His career journey continued with a pivotal role as the Operations and Quality Control Manager at Rainoil Limited, later transitioning to head the Trade and Marine department. Following this, he contributed his expertise as the Trade and Marine Manager at Enegas Power Limited. A dedicated professional, Mr. Afanga is a member of various technical organizations and has actively served on numerous government and private committees in Nigeria, playing a crucial role in shaping day-to-day activities within the oil and gas industry.
